Stop Greene County Commissioners from wasting $150 million

Stop Greene County Commissioners from wasting $150 million
The Issue
$153,000,000 is a staggering amount. Imagine the many ways this could transform Greene County for the better – funding education, improving healthcare facilities, enhancing public safety, or investing in infrastructure. Instead, the Greene County Commissioners are planning to spend this gigantic sum on a new Justice Center that we neither need nor want. Our judges, the very individuals who will work in the proposed building, oppose this project, and they are not alone.
This potential waste of resources is something every resident of Greene County should be concerned about. The plans for the new Justice Center are not publicly demanded, and the necessity of a completely new facility has not been convincingly demonstrated. Without transparent and compelling evidence, proceeding with such a costly project is irresponsible and does not reflect the priorities of our community.
We, the residents of Greene County, deserve a say in how our public funds are utilized. We want to see real improvements in our community that can impact our daily lives positively. Roads free of potholes, schools with up-to-date resources, and healthcare facilities that can cater to areas currently underserved. These are changes that would touch the lives of everyone and contribute to a stronger, more vibrant community.
Join me in urging our local leaders to halt the unnecessary expenditure on this new Justice Center. Let us redirect these funds into projects that will enhance our community and make Greene County a better place to live. Your signature can make a difference and voice our collective priorities loud and clear.
