WE HAVE BEEN SOLD A LIE!

GREEDY developers TOPLACE are potentially DESTROYING our dreams of a central park for hundreds of resident’s in Botany’s Park Grove estate! Local community members, businesses and residences are enraged. Please help us by joining in our fight to petition Mayor Ben Keneally as well as the Joint Regional Planning Panel to have the original Master Plan we were sold to for an inflated price given to us as promised. Mr Keneally will be directly involved in deciding the fate of our hopes and dreams. Please Mr Keneally DO THE RIGHT THING for your community. 

NSW Premier Mike Baird needs to front up to Botany residents and explain how his government plans to fix the broken planning system. Mr Baird needs to help his community to remove the bonus clause from the Botany Bay LEP which allows developers to use loopholes do as they please, lie and cheat to property owners to make more money.

Residents purchased in the Park Grove complex because of the Park that was to provide us with expansive green space right on our door step. With exorbitant Sydney property prices, many of us were unable to buy into the Australian dream of having our own backyard, this was to be the next best thing.

We purchased our units based on a Master Plan that did not present the “possibility” of a “potential” park, but an apartment complex that was specifically designed around a park which was to be its prime asset and the main focus of the developer’s sales pitch. After all, it is called “Park Grove”. There was no reason to believe that the park would differ in any way from the Master Plan, let alone a total relocation of the park would come into question.

Now, the developer of ­Botany’s Park Grove estate has lodged an ­amendment which could mean close to 100 owners will be looking directly into three eight-storey towers at our back doors where our park is meant to be.

There has been an unprecedented volume of objection by the Park Grove community against the development application for a multitude of reasons; the residences well-being are undeniably deteriorating physically, emotionally as well as financially, increased traffic congestion and guaranteed traffic and pedestrian accidents which we have already experienced, a total lack of any sunlight and privacy from three 8 levelled story buildings looking into neighbouring balconies…The list continues. We were sold the park as shown on the original Master Plan which is still promised on the developer’s official website.

The community members at Park Grove are so pleased to have been receiving enormous volumes of endless support by local community members and bodies that are completely enraged and are joining in the fight to save our park. There has also been a fantastic effort to reach various media outlets to bring light to this issue via online petitions, achieving a broad scope of media attention nation-wide to all parties and persons involved in this matter.

PLEASE JOIN US IN FIGHTING TO KEEP THE PARK WE PURCHASED OUR HOMES FOR AND NOT ALLOW GREEDY DEVELOPERS TO DESTROY OUR DREAMS BY BUILDING ON THEM!
