The show Good Christian Bitches has an irreverent and hypocritical attitude toward Christian faith and beliefs. We as Christians need to be active and let ABC studios and by extension Walt Disney Studios know that this is not the kind of show that we want to be seeing on television. By signing this petition you are letting them know that you do not want it to air, nor any show with a similar plot/theme to air either. We as believers must live our life of faith.

I also encourage any person of faith, be it Muslim, Jewish, Mormon, or even atheist to sign this petition. If it becomes commonplace and encouraged to air this sort of content, then who knows where it will stop? Will faith of anything become a laughing point? Will God himself become the content of a show, but only in a humorous and laughable way? Will they even begin to create shows in which they redicule those without faith? Television should not be a platform for lashing out against those who you do not agree with, all under the guise of 'humor'.

The Christian community at large is quite disappointed with the concept of this pilot. With tag lines such as "For Heaven's sake, don't let God get in the way of a good story!" we believed that it will be more of an irreverent show, poking fun at Christianity and in turn God. We do not feel that it should be aired in this context, nor that it gives a fair portrayal of the life of faith. While there is, and probably always will be hypocrites in the Christian community(just as there are in Muslim, Jewish, and atheistic ones), we feel that those problems should not be exaggerated and created in a way to make it seem silly to have our beliefs.

If this show airs, a great deal of us will be boycotting ABC studios and by extension any product directed by Darren Star.
