What is global warming and why should we care? Global warming is an increase in the temperature in the earth near the surface. As inhabitants of our planet, if the Earth's surface gets too hot, we cannot live here. We would not be able to breathe and potentially the land surfaces could get hot enough to burn. What is causing the global warming? Over the last few year, carbon dioxide has increased in our atmosphere. There is more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere now compared to other years. Carbon dioxide has a negative impact on the planet because it warms the planet at high levels. This causes climate change. 

 

 

We as a human race can no longer turn a blind eye to the harm being done to our planet. We all have a responsbility to stop global warming and save our planet. If not, where will we live?

 

 

The temperature continues to rise. You can see recent trends over the last thirty years. What could this chart look like in thirty more years? Will it be safe for us and our wildlife?

 

 

We must take action now as the temperature continues to rise and potentially threaten life as we know it. How can you help? What action can you take now? We have the power as a human race to make a change.

1. Instead of taking cars, buses, and trains, walk when you can.
2. If you must drive, use electric or hybrid cars.
3. Recycle every day.

By doing these things, we will be able to save our planet and live here for years to come. Remember there is no plan B or planet B. If we don't take action now, we will all lose. We will lose our planet and maybe even our lives.
