Stop giving awards to phony heroes

The Issue

I have watched a born U.K. prince abandon his duties and homeland for a quiet private life in the United States. To make money he wrote a book, gave interviews, made a mini series all about how hard his life has been and how horrible his family is.  People believed him and decided that he has had a rough go throughout life living in palaces, travelling the whole world by private jets, having Servants at his beck and call, playing polo, and using his royal family connection for a pampered life and being treated like a spoiled quasi god. Now organizations that think they can grab some positive press by honouring Prince Harry.

People see through this sham. He doesn’t deserve awards. He admitted he works one hour a week. Why is this award worthy. What message does this send to future generations. How does it make real people who give time and efforts to their causes feel?

This madness needs to stop. This cheapens causes and sows resentments. Being born a prince is enough of a prize for one’s lifetime. A true hero would recognize this and humbly decline them.

What  is at stake ..  values, hard work, integrity. And fairness and honesty. Healthy examples for our children and grandchildren
