Gender Inequality is a sensitive subject that needs to be addressed worldwide. Without equality, our society would continue to turn against each other because of their gender and will crumble. This is a topic that children should be aware of. As Dr. Jose Rizal said, "Ang Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng bayan". In translation, "The youth is society's hope". However, if the youth is kept unaware of the problems in society, how will they be able to create a solution? How would our youth stop the stigma if they are unaware of it? To combat this problem, this petition addresses to put gender equality in educational curriculums.

Based on our experience, the topic was addressed only in Grade 10, and was never addressed again in any other subjects. Do note that schools have different ways of teaching, and it is possible that in some schools, this topic was not tackled at all. Because the topic was not tackled enough, a lot of our youth does not see the problem. They continue to see women being objectified and men not showing emotions as normal. If this continues, both men and women will be affected. They will continue to feel and experience the agonizing pain of not being able to express themselves. We will continue to feel like we are caged in a box that society locked us in.

We know that this issue was raised multiple times throughout history. Despite all of that, no change is seen. As students, we barely hear this topic be formally taught in schools. This is why our society continues to discriminate genders, no matter how long our history has been. As students, it is our right to receive the right education in order to be fully functional members of society. And as members of society, we have the right to be aware of the different issues in our society and we have the right to solve these problems.
