Stop Funding Seaworld.

Stop Funding Seaworld.
The Issue
SeaWorld has long profited from the captivity and exploitation of orcas, intelligent and emotionally complex marine mammals. In the wild, orcas can live up to 60 to 90 years, swimming up to 100 miles a day in tightly bonded family pods. In captivity, however, their average lifespan drops drastically—many die in their teens or 20s from stress-related illnesses and unnatural conditions.
While SeaWorld has publicly announced the end of its orca breeding and capture program, the reality is far less promising. Their business model still revolves around orca performances, and once their current orcas die, they will face a choice: end the shows entirely—or resume capturing or breeding to maintain their profits. Given the history and financial dependency on orca entertainment, it is not unreasonable to believe SeaWorld will continue this cycle of abuse.
Orca shows are not harmless displays—they are a form of cruelty. These animals, with limbic systems more developed than those of humans, feel deep emotional pain and stress. Being confined to small tanks and forced to perform daily for crowds goes against everything orcas are as a species. It is not education; it is exploitation.
By continuing to support SeaWorld, we enable the suffering of these majestic creatures. It’s time to demand accountability and compassion. Sign this petition to urge sponsors, investors, and consumers to stop funding SeaWorld until they permanently end all orca shows and transition to ethical, sanctuary-based care.
