The Issue
I am a disabled Targeted Individual and a peace activist. As the Founder of Accountants for Human Rights, my mission is to work tirelessly towards Banning Electronic Warfare on Civilians.
My journey has been profoundly shaped by the continuing emergence of endless wars that not only drain our resources but also diminish our humanity.
Across the globe, endless wars persist, draining billions from national budgets annually with funds that could be redirected towards social services, infrastructure, education, and healthcare. The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) reported global military expenditure reached almost $2 trillion in 2020, while civilians around the world continue to face inadequate healthcare, education, and lack of fundamental infrastructure.
Countless lives have been torn apart, communities devastated, and the environment has suffered due to conflicts that often seem to have no resolution. The cycle of war creates not only physical destruction but emotional trauma and generational scars that take lifetimes to heal.
The funding for these wars too often goes unchecked, and it is time for us to demand accountability and a shift of priorities towards peace-building initiatives. The recent UN report highlights the urgent need for a global disarmament agenda to redirect funds from military use to sustainable development.
By stopping the support of never-ending wars, we not only foster a world where peace is prioritized but also unleash the potential of our communities to thrive without the shadow of conflict.
