Trash is everywhere! We need to do something to stop flooding.

It is the number one problem of Taytayeños whenever there is rainfall, whether heavy or light. It's difficult to convince our neighbors to stop throwing them everywhere. That is why trash and different types of pollutants clogs our poorly made drains, hence the severe flooding.

Back then, the floods were usually waist-high, and it can cause a variety of diseases in humans, including typhoid fever, cholera, hypothermia, leptospirosis, and others. It also makes its way into the homes of my neighbors, including ours. Due to this issue, we have always had a difficult time cleaning up all of the dirt that the flood brings. What more to those who are living in shelters we couldn't even refer as home

I'd like to remind my mga ka-barangay to always clean our area, to take care of your own trash, and to always give it to the garbage collectors who roam our neighborhood every Monday morning. Simple changes in our environmental routine/habits would make an impact if we would all try.

As a concerned citizen, I'd like to start a petition to prevent flooding in my barangay and request that the Flood Control Team expedite their operations so that we don't have to deal with the intense pollution. Please have everyone sign this petition! Let us do everything we can to stop the flooding.
