this semester, fiu told us that we would be forced to move out of UA in the middle of a housing crisis so they could demolish it use the land to construct a research building, all while using land to build a huge church and letting sorority & frat houses sit empty in other areas of campus. there are other options. fiu is CHOOSING to destroy its green spaces and displace its students.

i'm tired of fiu operating like a business for profit instead of a school for students, and at the very least this is a way to start a conversation and let them know that we're not happy. at the end of the day fiu is a school, they operate BECAUSE of us and our tuition. they need to listen and they need to start prioritizing students.

if you feel this way too, please sign this petition and share it, at the very least FIU could ensure that the new research buildings are built AROUND the trees and wildlife instead of over them.
