This includes crucial medications like Armour Thyroid, NP Thyroid, compounded Thyroid USP, and bovine thyroid extracts. Many patients have tried every FDA-approved thyroid product available, including all forms of commercially available T4 and T3, only to experience severe side effects or a diminished quality of life. Removing NDT options takes away a critical lifeline from those for whom other treatments have proven ineffective.

The FDA's decision lacks consideration for the patients who depend on these medications. These are real people with real struggles, and they deserve options that work best for them. Removing these options disregards the individual needs and experiences of thyroid patients, many of whom have exhausted all other alternatives.
