I started this petiton because I don't want to be someone who complains about something and won't do anything about it. I care about the environment. Also I'm going to propose a bill to force fast fashion companies to use more eco friendly fabric & dyes.

• The industry uses nearly 79 billion cubic meters of water annually. Overusing freshwater sources for fast fashion manufacturing minimizes the global supply of safe drinking water. About 884 million individuals currently lack access to clean water, increasing the rate of dehydration and other adverse health effects.
• Greenhouse gas emissions by the global textile industry are greater than those from shipping and international air travel, combined. The fashion industry produces about 53 million tonnes of fibre every year, 70% of which ends up in garbage dumps, or is incinerated.
• By polluting the air, water, and entire food chain, plastic microfibers threaten human health, wildlife, and the planet. Even washing most synthetic clothes made from rayon, polyester, or nylon at home releases plastic microfibers into waterways that end up in the oceans and threaten marine life.
