WHAT IS FACT2029?

FACT — Future Asylum Contracts Transformation — is the Home Office programme being developed to replace the current asylum accommodation and support contracts from 2029.

It is not simply about providing somewhere for people to live.

The proposed scope covers a much wider range of services, including:

• Property renting and management

• Accommodation provision

• Modular accommodation

• Construction

🔧 Property & facilities

• Facilities management

• Cleaning

• Repairs and maintenance

• Security

🍽️ Support services

• Catering / food

• Transport

• Welfare services

• Social work

📋 Oversight

• Auditing and related services

In other words, FACT could involve a large network of companies providing accommodation and a wide range of services around it, with public money flowing through different parts of the supply chain.

The contracts are being developed now for the system that is intended to operate from 2029.

That is why I believe transparency matters before the contracts are awarded — so the public can understand who is involved, who owns the companies, who is subcontracting to whom, and where the money goes.
