The Issue

We call on the Government to pause the implementation of Future Asylum Contracts Transformation (FACT) and commission an independent review of the existing asylum accommodation contracting system before awarding or implementing further long-term contracts.

The review should examine:

how public money is being spent through asylum accommodation contracts;
the performance of the existing contractors;
subcontracting arrangements and supply chains;
company ownership and related-party relationships;
property and accommodation arrangements;
contract management and Government oversight;
whether existing contracts provide sufficient transparency and value for money; and
whether the lessons from existing contracts have been properly addressed before FACT proceeds.
The British public deserve transparency about how billions of pounds of public money are being spent and who ultimately benefits from the system.

We are not asking the Government to ignore the immigration crisis.

We are asking the Government to make sure that the system used to manage it is transparent, properly scrutinised, provides value for money and is accountable to the public.

Before FACT 2029 proceeds, stop, investigate, publish the findings and allow the public to see the evidence.

STOP FACT 2029.
