Since November 2022, hundreds of thousands of people have united in calling for an end to state executions in Iran. But the crisis continues. According to the latest report by Human Rights Organisations, Iran is now the world leader in executions: in 2024, 1,000 of the 1,572 executions worldwide took place in Iran.

The victims are not just names or numbers. Many are young people, protesters, ethnic minorities, and political prisoners. Over 50 individuals are currently at risk of execution, convicted under vague charges such as Baghi (armed rebellion), “enmity against God,” and “corruption on Earth.” These are not crimes in any just legal system — they are tools of repression used to silence dissent and punish resistance.

In Iran, execution does not only take a body — it destroys families, crushes hope, and leaves deep wounds in the heart of society. Children grow up without parents, parents lose their children, and communities live in constant fear.

We cannot allow this brutality to continue in silence.

We call on the global community to:

-Demand an immediate halt to all executions in Iran.
-Call for fair trials and the release of those sentenced under unjust laws.
