私達は日本のインターナショナルスクールに通う高校生で、日本のスーパーマーケットで使用されている不必要なプラスチックの量に注目しています。私達はSWAP(Stop Waste and Plastic)という団体を立ち上げ、マイクロプラスチックが私たちの世界、人間の健康、そして私達の未来に与える有害な影響を深く憂慮し、この署名を緊急に提案しています。

一人当たりのプラスチック廃棄物排出量が世界第2位である日本は、かなりの量のプラスチック包装を使用しており、特にスーパーマーケットでは、野菜や果物でさえ不要なプラスチックで覆われています。

残念なことに、プラスチック包装は鮮度を保つことを目的としているが、プラスチック包装は有害な化学物質を食品に溶出させる可能性があることが判明しており、懸念が高まっています。

一緒にプラスチックの使用を減らし、大きな前向きな変化を生み出しましょう。そのために、この活動へのご賛同をお願いしています。ぜひこの署名にご協力いただき、他の方にもシェアしてください。目標は100名の署名で、集まり次第スーパーマーケットに提出する予定です。ご協力ありがとうございます。

We are high school students at an international school in Japan, and the amount of unnecessary plastic used in Japanese supermarkets has come to our attention. We have begun an organization called SWAP (Stop Waste and Plastic), and are urgently proposing this petition out of our deep concern for the harmful impacts of microplastics on our world, human health, and our future. 

Japan, the second largest generator of plastic waste per capita in the world, uses a considerable amount of plastic packaging─especially in supermarkets, where even fruits and vegetables come layered in needless plastic. 

Lamentably, although plastic packaging is aimed to ensure freshness, plastic packaging has been found to potentially leach harmful chemicals into the food, adding to the growing concern.

Together, we can reduce the plastic footprint and make a significant positive change. Therefore, we ask for everyone’s support in the cause by signing this petition and sharing it to others, too. We are aiming for 100 signatures which we can then present to supermarkets. Thank you!
