My neighbors and I have noticed substantial increases in our electricity bills over the past few years. As an example, my bill last month showed that I used 651kw more than the same month last year. An increase that is hard to explain seeing as for the past few years, I've only been using a heat pump/mini splits for central heat and air with no boiler.

This unfairly exaggerated price hike is not unique to me but has been experienced by many around us. It's time we demand transparency and fairness in how these costs are calculated and charged. The fluctuating prices not only impose a financial burden on ordinary people but also breed mistrust in our local electricity suppliers and their operations.

The struggle to keep our homes warm or cool should not be made harder by unfounded price increases. We call upon regulatory bodies to exercise their oversight and ensure utility pricing is fair, consistent, and regulated. Let's unite against unjust electricity pricing practices and hold our local electricity companies accountable.
