The European Union is using taxpayers' money to fund a brutal dictator—Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the man responsible for countless human rights violations in Egypt. Since his rise to power, Sisi has ruled with an iron fist, suppressing opposition, silencing journalists, and overseeing mass executions. But his crimes didn’t start with his presidency; his involvement in human rights abuses dates back to 2011, when he was linked to the infamous virginity tests imposed on female protesters—an act condemned globally as a form of state-sponsored sexual violence.

Despite these well-documented atrocities, the EU continues to provide financial and political support to Sisi's regime, under the guise of "stability" and "cooperation." In reality, this funding enables more repression, more torture, and more human rights abuses. Why should European taxpayers be forced to bankroll a dictator who brutalizes his own people?

We demand that the European Union immediately halt all financial and political support to Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s regime. EU funds should not be used to sustain a dictatorship that crushes democracy and violates basic human rights.
