Stop Entrapment Laws on Child Support .
The Issue
Stop Entrapment Laws on Child Support . Give Fathers an Opportunity to be Fathers Without Penalties.
I haven't worked in four years since Barack Obama has been in office. To turn around this year to be put on child support for a 14 year old child that I didn't know about (Because the mother presented someone else at birth to be the father). Now I have to look for 5 jobs a week. I have applied for over 100 jobs since March and haven't gotten work yet.
There are some fathers out here who would like to take care of their children, but due to the mother's selfish decisions to keep the fathers out the children life, fathers are left with no choice and are put on child support due to situations beyond the fathers control.
Short Story: A young lady who has four children with 4 different fathers who is on welfare doesn't commit to the fathers because she is comfortable with receiving government assistants or is threaten by the government of termination of assistants if at least one of the father is living in the home. So due to her decision the government enforces child support on the father. This is wrong and it's entrapment.
So now due to a jobless economy, I can't find employment and not to mention I have a 2 year old who I have been apart of his life since day one. The government is making the 14 year old a priority over my 2 year old only because the 14 year old is in the system.
Due to the situation that is beyond my control, if I don't find a job I will be hit with one of these penalties:
1. Hold the parent in contempt of court.
2. Garnish the parent's wages or benefits payments.
3. Put a lien (a legal obligation to pay) on any property the parent owns.
4. Enter a legal judgment, like the verdict in a lawsuit, against the parent.
5. Seize the parent's tax refunds.
6. Revoke the parent's driver's license or passport.
7. If the parent crosses state lines while owing more than $5,000, have him or her criminally charged.
There are some fathers who are not taking care of their children and they make it bad for others, but what about cases like these when the mothers make decisions beyond the fathers control? Where are the rights (legal and human) for the fathers when the mothers make the bad decisions?
