Stop Disney from Altering Walt's Original Frontierland

The Issue

As a  fan of Disneyland and its rich history, I am deeply concerned about the proposed changes to Frontierland. This area represents early Americana, a tribute to our nation's pioneering spirit. The removal of this iconic land would be akin to erasing an important part of our cultural heritage. The Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island are not just attractions; they are symbols of our shared past.

Disney Imagineers have plans to transform Frontierland into an extension of Radiator Springs from the movie Cars. While Cars Land in California Adventure is a wonderful addition, it doesn't make sense to shoehorn this intellectual property into Disneyland's main park at the expense of Walt Disney’s original vision.

Frontierland has been an integral part of Disneyland since its opening in 1955. It offers guests a unique experience that cannot be replicated by modern franchises or themes. Moreover, it serves as a reminder that Disneyland was built on creativity and innovation rather than commercial tie-ins.

We understand that change is inevitable, but we believe there are ways for Disney to innovate without sacrificing its historical integrity. We urge Disney not only to preserve Frontierland but also consider expanding upon it while staying true to its original theme.

Let us keep Walt’s dream alive by preserving his original vision for Disneyland - where nostalgia meets innovation without losing sight of what made us fall in love with this magical place in the first place.

Please sign this petition if you agree that Disney should reconsider their plans for Frontierland.
