Stop developments Rooftop bar/pool & Removal iconic water tower

Stop developments Rooftop bar/pool & Removal iconic water tower

The Issue

Bathhouse (N10th & Berry St) is expanding its footprint by 18k square feet, with a five-story exterior elevator shaft* already built atop the former home of BK Brewery and plans for an outdoor swimming POOL and BAR on the adjacent roof of 56 Berry (and the removal of that building’s iconic water tower).

This will mean:

·      A barrage of noise upon surrounding residential buildings

·      An influx of car & foot traffic, adding to the existing oversaturation of tourists from numerous hotels (William Vale, Wythe, Arlo, etc.) and bars (Delmano, Whiskey, Café Balearica, etc.) within three blocks

·      A direct hit to the quality of life on Berry St, after all the work that has been done to maintain it as a quiet and clean “Open Streets” enclave

Please sign our petition urging local authorities to oppose the liquor license Bathhouse will need for their rooftop bar & pool.

Thank you.

*At over five stories, the elevator shaft is in violation of the building’s permitted three stories. The Department of Buildings has imposed a partial stop work order for numerous reported violations.
