The community of the Middletown is asking that the Project planner, Mireya Turner from the Community Development Department not approve the design plan for Dollar General in Middletown.

        The design, as it stands, does not fit the Middletown Area Plan.
        The original Major Use Permit was denied through the action of the Board of Supervisors on May 31, 2017, so the redesign must be submitted under a new permit application.  
        The prepared Initial Study does not take into account the increased traffic impacts on the surrounding area, including several schools.
        Because of the controversy surrounding this project, it requires a hearing before the Planning Commission.

Middletown is a small, beautiful community with historical and cultural significance.  The close-knit community has small businesses who's families have been part of the community for generations.  Please join me and voice your opinion that the Dollar General's Design Plan does not meet the Middletown Area Plan.
