We, the undersigned, call upon the Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) and Columbia Basin Trust (CBT) to immediately cease all development activities within the precious wetlands of Crawford Creek Regional Park.

These wetlands are vital ecosystems that support diverse flora and fauna, provide essential ecological services, and contribute to the overall health of our environment. Any further development in this sensitive area threatens irreparable harm to the delicate balance of nature.

We demand transparent and inclusive public engagement in the decision-making process. We urge the authorities to provide accessible information and conduct town meetings where community members can voice their concerns and have their questions addressed.

It is imperative that the concerns of the public are taken seriously and that all potential impacts on the environment are thoroughly evaluated before any further actions are taken.
