After Ranil Wickramasingha elected as the 8th president of Sri Lanka, immediately he ordered to attack the peaceful protesters site overnight by the military, police with thugs while Budist Priests, Catholic Fathers/Sisters, other religious groups, women, kids, handicaps & the LGBTQ community included in the crowd that was attacked brutally.

The current situation is the new government is targeting and arresting the protest organizers, activists & journalists also the innocent civilians who took the streets to pressure the regime to step down due to the financial disaster in the country. We request the Canadian government to pressure Sri Lankan government to stop unlawful detentions towards individuals speak for their own rights. We humbly urge the Canadian PM Justin Trudeau to condemn the brutality of current regime and save the innocent people of Sri Lanka.
