As alumni of the DoDEA school system it is extremely disheartening to see the blatantly negative censorship of DEI related curriculum, books and clubs being rolled out across the schools due to President Trump's executive orders. These orders do nothing but erase history and take us backwards from the progress we have made as a society. 

This is a disservice to the students in these schools that we cannot allow. They should not have limitations like this on the perspectives they receive or have historical facts removed from their learning just because of one administrations ideologies. This is a violation of First Amendment rights for families who serve our nation. 

We as alumni stand against the rollout of these orders and urge retraction to ensure the protection of these students education. We request immediate pause of rollout to allow for further discussion and alignment that puts the best interest of the students and their future as the main priority.
