 "Support for Forest Preservation and Community Green Spaces in Mecklenburg County

I am a resident and supporter of local conservation efforts in Mecklenburg County.

    I am writing to express my strong support for the acquisition or protection of privately owned forest land—particularly areas with established pine and hardwood trees—to create community green spaces for recreation, education, and wellbeing.

   These lands provide vital ecological services, preserve our region’s beauty, and offer much-needed access to nature that supports both mental and physical health.

     By collaborating through Mecklenburg County Parks & Recreation, the Catawba Lands Conservancy, the Conservation Fund, The Trust for Public Fund and the North Carolina Land and Water Fund, we can safeguard these valuable forest ecosystems for future generations.
