Stop deforestation and increase reforestation in Indonesia

The Issue

Hi, I'm an eight-year-old living in Indonesia (I'm using my mum's account and I made the picture on top). Indonesia is a country known for its rich biodiversity and natural beauty. Unfortunately, I see a lot of pollution every day. The air is filled with smog from vehicles, and our forests are disappearing. Deforestation is a big problem here, and it makes me sad because it not only causes pollution but also increases the risk of flooding, which affects so many lives.

Indonesia is one of the 13 most biodiverse countries in the world. We are home to amazing animals like orangutans, Sumatran tigers, and beautiful birds. But as our forests disappear, so do the habitats of these incredible creatures. This is why I am writing this petition. I want to see more forests in Indonesia, not less.

Deforestation in Indonesia is driven by illegal logging, palm oil plantations, and forest fires, often set intentionally for land clearing. Our forest cover shrank a lot.

Reforestation and sustainable practices can help reverse these trends. Planting trees in deforested areas can help restore habitats, absorb carbon dioxide, and reduce the risk of flooding. By respecting and enforcing environmental laws, curbing illegal logging, and promoting sustainable palm oil, we can make a significant difference.

Join me in urging the Indonesian government to increase reforestation efforts and implement stronger regulations to protect our forests. Let's work together to ensure a greener, healthier future for Indonesia and its precious wildlife.

Please sign this petition to help stop deforestation and promote reforestation in Indonesia!
