Stop Costco from Requiring Separate Memberships for Household Members

The Issue

I went to shop at Costco and they wanted to see my husband before they would sell to me. This has never been the case before. We live in the same house, yet now we are being forced to have two different membership cards. This is extortion.

Costco's new policy of inspecting cardholders at checkout and requiring each individual in a household to have their own membership card is unfair and unnecessary. Many families share a single membership because it makes economic sense, especially during times of financial hardship.

This policy change seems like an attempt by Costco to increase their membership numbers at the expense of loyal customers who have been shopping there for years without issue. It's not just inconvenient; it's also financially burdensome for families who are already struggling with rising costs of living.

We urge Costco to reconsider this policy and allow households to continue sharing a single membership card as they have done in the past. Please sign this petition if you believe that families should not be forced into purchasing multiple memberships unnecessarily!
