British Airways have ignored concerns raised by their employees - Pilots who raise Air Safety Reports (ASR’s) following Fume Events and Cabin Crew who report Fume Events on the British Airways Internal System on what seems like a daily basis at present. They have also ignored concerns raised by the British Airways Stewards and Stewardesses Association (BASSA - Unite):
They also ignored concerns raised by Sheriff Stanhope Payne (Coroner) in 2016:

Unfortunately Sheriff Stanhope Payne ‘retired’ very soon after this was issued and was replaced by Simon Fox QC who said at the inquest into the death of Pilot Richard Westgate ‘that exposure to organophosphates onboard aircraft was “not a proper issue to be examined by this inquest”; he concluded that Westgate died after taking an accidental overdose of the sleeping tablet pentobarbital.’ (Despite the fact that organophosphates were present). (Simon Fox QC did not become Coroner for Dorset - he presided only for the Westgate Inquiry).
Many crew (both pilots and cabin crew) who have been injured by contaminated air in aircraft, along with bereaved families of crew who have died have been campaigning and seeking justice, acknowledgement, solutions and change for years, some for more than 18 years. They too have been ignored.
Passengers have been injured too and we applaud them for coming forward, for seeking the truth and demanding that their questions are answered - from an industry that has known about the problem of contaminated air in aircraft for decades.
Will British Airways ignore their customers too?
