The Bob Marley Beach is one of the few remaining beaches on the island of Jamaica and in recent events, the land has been fought over by Norman Stephenson and developers planning to bulldoze and build a luxury resort. Norman has fought long and hard for the land and has gotten support from the Marley family, but with all of that it wasn't enough. Justice Maxine Jackson refused Stephensons injunction which was to protect the land from demolition. This gives the developers a go ahead to start construction. This is incredibly sad and disheartening to hear that this public beach were many local Jamaicans go is being taken from them yet again.
