I don’t want to advertise for a company because I paid for the plastic bag and it’s my property now. I can use it again or bin it. It’s my profit or loss. Why should we advertise for companies for free when we are already paying for the bags? Imagine carrying an Asda bag into Tesco and giving them free advertising – it's unfair unless they pay us to do so.

Companies are making significant profits from these advertisements, while customers bear the cost of purchasing these bags. According to Statista, UK supermarkets sold over 1 billion single-use plastic carrier bags in 2019 alone, generating substantial revenue from both sales and advertising.

It’s time to demand change. Sign this petition if you believe that once we purchase a carrier bag, it should be free of advertisements unless companies compensate us fairly!
