Demand Investigation and Intervention for Dogs Living in Dangerous Conditions in Whitehall, Montana
Concerned community members are calling for immediate investigation into the conditions of dogs kept at a breeding property in Whitehall, Montana. Multiple individuals who have observed the property report dogs being confined to small outdoor pens in severe Montana winter conditions with little to no adequate shelter from the elements. Reports also describe a lack of consistent access to food and unfrozen water, as well as minimal human interaction or exercise outside of their enclosures.
These animals appear to be kept primarily for breeding purposes and may be living their entire lives in these conditions. This situation raises serious concerns about neglect and violations of basic animal welfare standards. Community members have also expressed alarm due to past allegations that other animals previously kept on the property suffered from neglect, including livestock that reportedly died due to lack of care.
Dogs are sentient animals that require proper shelter, nutrition, clean water, veterinary care, and humane treatment. These are not luxuries - they are the minimum standard of care expected under animal welfare laws and community ethics.
We are asking local authorities and county officials to:
- Conduct an immediate welfare check and formal investigation of the animals on this property
- Ensure all animals are receiving adequate shelter, food, and water
- Enforce any applicable animal welfare and cruelty laws if violations are found
- Take appropriate action to protect the animals from continued suffering
By signing this petition, we ask our local leaders to take these concerns seriously and ensure that the animals in Whitehall are safe, protected, and treated humanely.
Animals cannot speak for themselves. It is our responsibility to speak for them.
Sign and share to demand accountability and humane treatment for these dogs.
