Dear Friends,

 Dr Raj Gupta has issued a public video addressed to Board Of Directors (BOD) for HCA, parent company of RMC. His  previous email was not given due attention to intervene on 06/21/24.  He has demanded BOD to pause the closure, come for investigation and  see things first hand. He also highlighted the cause of economic woes of RMC, not due to specaility programs but persistence failure of local HCA leadership to get elective admissions and surgeries. Bridges have been burnt between Admin and private practitioners and admin is surrounded by physcians who are unable to speak truth due to conflict of interest. He implored BOD to follow HCA core values : Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. He reminded BOD to preserve core mission of HCA  “Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life”. We should  follow  quotes by HCA cofounder Dr THOMAS FRIST SR  in letter and spirit “Bricks and mortar do not make a hospital. People do.” “The great hospitals will always put the patient and the patient’s family first, and the really great institutions will provide care with warmth, compassion and dignity for the individual

 He hoped  to hear from BOD HCA  by July 16th or our Governor Gavin Newsom or Attorney General Rob Bonta. If we  don’t hear from any of them , we will go to national level by involving our President of united States Joe Biden and Attorney general of United States Merrick Garland.  Our petition is signed by 8640 people including thousands of doctors, nurses and medical staff.  This is battle between people and profits and we can’t afford to lose.
