The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido  Church,  a revered and ancient institution, is under attack. The appointment of 26 bishops without the knowledge of the church and the establishment of an illegitiment synod by the Ethiopian government is a clear violation of the church's autonomy and a threat to its existence. Despite constant efforts to preserve its dignity, the church continues to face belittlement and persecution by the government, destroying the freedom of worship for Christians in Ethiopia.

We call on the international community to join us in standing against this injustice. The right to worship freely and peacefully is an inalienable right and should not be subject to political pressure. We urge everyone to raise their voice in defense of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and to help protect this important cultural and religious heritage. Let us work together to ensure that this ancient institution is not destroyed by brute force and political ideology.

ስለሆነም የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን በመንግሥት መደፈርና የክርስቲያኖች ስደት፤ ግድያ የሚያሳስባችሁ ብሎም ክርስቲያኖች ያለ ፖለቲካ ጫናና ጣልቃ ገብነት የማምለክ ነጻነታቸው መጠበቅ አለበት የምትሉ ኢትዮጵያውያንና መላው ዓለም ይህንን ጉዳይ በጥብቅ እንድትቃወሙና ድምጽ እንድትሆኑን እንጠይቃለን።
