As a childhood fan of the Garfield, I find myself torn by the recent casting decision for "The Garfield Movie". This year, we've seen Chris Pratt take on the role of Mario in "The Mario Movie", with little to no change in his voice to embody that iconic character. Now, he's set to voice our main bro the lasagna-loving cat, Garfield. 

Frank Welker and even Bill Murry really FELT like Garfield. Having an actor who doesn't alter their voice significantly for such a distinctive character will clot up what makes Garfield so oddly special.

Moreover, it's worth noting that there are many talented voice actors who specialize in bringing animated characters to life with unique voices - something we didn't see with Pratt's portrayal of Mario. It seems only fair these professionals should be given consideration for these types of roles.

Pretty much everyone’s smiles sunk once he opened his mouth, we urge those responsible for casting "The Garfield Movie" to reconsider their choice and instead select someone who can truly capture the essence of our favorite fat cat.
