Stop Child Marriage in Somalia.

In Somalia, younger girls are being stripped from their pride and life to be married off to grown men. According to GirlsnotBrides.org, 8% of girls are married by 15 years old and 45% of girls are married by 18. While being married these young girls are exposed to sexual, mental and domestic abuse. Most are forced to drop out of school, are stripped from their voice and are expected to act like a grown woman. This petition is being made to enlighten officials on our human rights, pressure executive leaders to look into this problem and make sure to put an end to corrupt bodies and implement more forceful laws to end child marriage in Somalia.
