Child Grooming affects children around the whole world, nowadays, it can be even more prevalent online - in the last 6 years, online child grooming cases have gone up by 89% - that’s a big issue. Some people may say, “you can’t be abused online” or “what’s the harm?”, don’t listen to those people. Child predators drag children down a mental rabbit hole, often leading to depression. 20% of children have been groomed online at some point, that number should be 0.

But, not all hope is lost, because we want to make a difference. 

My name is Dexter, and I am a victim of online grooming, luckily, the things that have happened online in my case, have stayed online, and I never met any of the people that groomed me in the read world, I got off lucky - but some don’t get lucky.

With enough support, I’d like to form the Rochdale Children’s Online Protection Service (or RCOPS for short), even if we only make a small difference, it’s still a difference. And all you need to do is agree, if you agree, let me know, and you may have just helped create what could be an extremely effective resource for not just children in Rochdale, not just children in Manchester, but children around the world.
