Stop Carvana from selling Defective Cars!!!
The Issue
I purchased a car from Carvana September 22, 2024. I realized shortly after that there was a transmission problem. I did an internet inquiry and took the car to one of their preferred mechanics. Here it is November 16, 2024 and I still do not have a working vehicle. Carvana’s warranty company SilverRock sent someone to the shop to check out the car after the mechanic’s diagnosis of the vehicle needing a replacement transmission. A replacement transmission was sent to the shop and I picked up the car on November 9, 2024. The car jerked so badly that I returned it to the shop November 11th. I’m now awaiting another diagnosis. I had to pay $100 deductible to pick it up the first time and SilverRock will be expecting that again. I’m waiting for reimbursement for the first rental car so I can afford to rent another vehicle. I am 65 years old, have missed doctor appointments, work because I can’t afford to Uber everywhere. Their website is loaded with complaints of how people have been taken advantage of. Carvana and their warranty company need to be held accountable. First, a car shouldn’t need repair as soon as it comes from a “reputable dealer.” If a repair is needed, it shouldn’t be an issue that puts the customer’s livelihood and health at stake. There are too many instances where people are ridiculously inconvenienced when they purchase vehicles from Carvana. This is not the customer’s fault. Before purchase, I studied the carfax, and reviewed any possible problems for the make and model of the car. I purchased from them years ago without all these problems. When customers make a purchase they expect to receive safe and reliable transportation; not a cosmetically appealing piece of junk.
