Many accidents have occurred due to speeding/unsafe driving. There are two high schools as well as numerous primary schools in the surrounding area. School children have been hit by cars and injured due to the unsafe driving and lack of speed control from drivers.

My cat Luna was killed by a driver on Thursday 7th March. My family are absolutely heartbroken. In 2022, our other cat, Loki, was hit either by a bus or a car going at least 20mph over the speed limit. Loki belonged to my Dad, who had passed away the year before, so he is very special to us. Loki’s femur was shattered. He managed to drag himself home with his front paws. He needed scans, medication, and a major surgery costing over £5,000. He also had to be kept in a cage for 8 weeks to recover.

By signing this local petition you will be showing support of a speed camera and/or speed bumps being introduced on Harrytown/Bredbury Green. I will be contacting the local MP when we have a substantial amount of support.
