Recently, it has been announced that Chikn Nuggit creator Kyra Kupetsky has left the show due to the parent company, BuzzFeed, using its likeness in a currently unknown AI project against Kyra's wishes. Kyra and her team have openly stated to be anti-AI, so her passion project being fed into this project only serves as a slap-in-the-face not only to her vision and her best interests, but to the integrity of art and animation in general.

If BuzzFeed's AI project involving Chikn is allowed to go through, it will do far more harm than good, as it will damage the Chikn Nuggit brand and further the false precedent that AI "art" is superior to human-made art. This corporate meddling may even bleed into other Animation Lab projects such as the Land of Boggs or the Good Advice Cupcake, as they also fall under the BuzzFeed umbrella.

By signing this petition, you will be helping to send the message to BuzzFeed that this is not okay, that creatively driven works like Chikn should not be fed into a soulless generative AI algorithm, especially when it flies in the face of the artist's creative intent and causes them to leave. On top of that, it will send the message that Kyra should be allowed to keep the reigns over Chikn so she can continue working on the series as she sees fit without the interference of AI.

Let's spread the word! Don't give in to these corporations and their AI slop!

EDIT: As I was creating this, it appears that all of Chikn's posts about the issue are being deleted, allegedly by the higher-ups at BuzzFeed. Yet another reason why we need to not give in.
