I am a student from Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines and I have personally experienced bullying from my classmates. This is not an isolated incident but a widespread issue that affects many students in our community. Bullying has severe impacts on the mental and emotional health of young individuals. According to the Department of Education in the Philippines, there were over 6,000 reported cases of bullying in primary and secondary schools across the country during the school year 2018-2019 (Department of Education - Philippines). This number is alarming and shows that immediate action needs to be taken.

We are calling on local educational authorities to implement stricter anti-bullying policies within schools. We need comprehensive programs that educate students about the harmful effects of bullying and promote a culture of respect and understanding among peers.
