I am a resident at the YWCA building on Elizabeth Street. Both my life and the life of my dog are under serious threat from the sinister and silent warfare tactics employed against us- biological, neurological, and electronic weapons. We stand as living witnesses to the profoundly detrimental effects of these heinous activities. The constant warfare has taken a serious toll on our health.

I am suffering from relentless severe migraine headaches, as a result of brain interface usage. This neurological warfare is no less than stealthy torture. Moreover, it is not just my life that has been turned upside down: my dog, my companion, has not been spared either. He has developed a hernia diaphragm, a consequence of his digestive system being systematically targeted. We are staring at a costly surgical intervention that I cannot afford.

As the World Health Organization outlines, "the use of biological weapons could have a huge societal impact, leading to high numbers of casualties with potentially lasting effects" (WHO, Biological weapons). The Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons and on their Destruction also reiterates the international commitment to stop the production and use of these inhumane weapons.

This is a wake-up call not only to stand against the clandestine use of these weapons but also to rally to help those silently suffering.
