STOP LITHIUM-ION BATTERY STORAGE IN BEL MARIN KEYS WETLANDS

STOP BATTERY STORAGE in BMK to save our watershed, promote natural regional flood control and assist with the conservation of the entire region's wetlands. Terra-Gen LLC, a private energy company, has a pending application with Marin County to build a 300MGW lithium-ion battery storage facility on WETLANDS, across from Pacheco Pond. They want to buy 134 acres from the private owner and use some of it for this facility. The land would have to be rezoned. It is now zoned Agriculture/Conservation. This project would sit in a flood plain, would impact the Novato Creek and would be clearly visible to all. The impacted landscape would have tall towers, lighting, and noise. Construction will be required for access roads and infrastructure. This technology has serious fire safety concerns and a chemical fire would pollute flora and fauna and surrounding communities. BMK has only one road in and out should evacuation become necessary. Building this project on these wetlands, is a bad idea. We don't want this in BMK.
