Banyule Council wants to put a pedestrian crossing at the worst possible spot — right on the blind, congested corner of Looker Rd, Apex Way and Airlie Rd. Locals know this corner is already chaos, with cars banking up, honking, and constant near-misses. Adding a crossing here will make it even more dangerous — for drivers and for pedestrians.

We’re not against a crossing — but we want it where it actually keeps people safe. The community’s safer option is near Elizabeth St and the café:

Clearer visibility for drivers
Safer for school kids and bus users
Already where people naturally cross
