We must not allow the government to take away our right to using vapes/e cigarettes. E cigarettes have been an extremely positive substitution/sublimation for method for smokers due to the significantly lower cost and detriment to physical health.

If vaping is to be banned it will simply make the smoking epidemic worse once again as all current e cigarette users will merely revert back to smoking to satisfy their nicotine addictions. This creates a longer list of problems than it solves due to the cost of smoking and the negative health effects that coinside with it.

Evidence shows that the Australian government has lost over 5 billion dollars in taxation due to the introduction of e cigarettes, clearly demonstrating the motive behind the ban of the products is purely financial and nothing to do with improving the physical health of Australians who are dependent on nicotine.

The government declaring a 234 million dollar expenditure at the latest budget reveal entirely focused on legislation against e cigarettes proves how out of touch they are when we have much larger issues at hand such as the cost of living and housing crisis. Our taxpayers money could be spent somewhere much more suitable than the banning of recreational vaping.

We must act now to ensure a better future for all australian vapers, to ensure we are not forced back into inflating our politicians pockets with heavily taxed tobacco purchases.
