Stop Asylum Hotels in Havant – Homes for British Families First

The Issue

STOP NEW ASYLUM HOTELS IN HAVANT – BRITISH FAMILIES FIRST

Havant residents are being ignored. Across the country, hotels have been taken over for asylum accommodation:

Often without planning consent
Without consultation with local people
With no clear plan for the impact on housing, the NHS, schools, or policing

Meanwhile, families in Havant, Leigh Park and Waterlooville are already struggling:

NHS waiting times are longer than ever
Local housing lists keep growing
Schools are stretched and class sizes rising
Policing resources are under pressure

Yet residents are being asked to accept taxpayer-funded hotels for asylum seekers, while many British families can’t afford rent, heating or even food.

This is not compassion. This is chaos.

✅ What We Are Asking For

We, the undersigned, call on Havant Borough Council to:

Oppose the use of hotels in Havant for asylum accommodation where planning consent and public consultation have not taken place.
Support legal action (injunctions) to prevent hotel conversions that bypass planning laws.
Publish full transparency data on any asylum-related housing, hotel, or funding commitments in the borough.
Prioritise British families, key workers and local residents in housing, NHS and education before expanding asylum accommodation.

This is not about hate or division.

It is about fairness, accountability and putting Havant’s residents first.
