Successive UK Governments have been complicit in Israel's genocide in Gaza and taken no  effective action to halt the accelerating spread of illegal settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Local companies, including James Cropper plc in Burneside and BAE Systems in Salmesbury, Lancashire, continue to supply material and components used to build Israel's F35 combat aircraft. Pension schemes, including the Cumbria Pension Scheme continue with significant investments in businesses known to supply components for weapons that are used by the Israeli Government and/or support the development of illegal Israeli settlements across the Occupied Palestinian Territories.   

Therefore, we call on all MPs in Cumbria and North Lancashire to:

Act locally & publicly to oppose the export of materials by James Cropper plc for combat aircraft, including those used by Israel in its attacks on Gaza.

Tell the UK Government to:

i)             End all supplies of arms and arms components from the UK to Israel;

ii)           Call for a just and lasting peace for Palestine; 

iii)         Join the world in action to prosecute Israel’s war crimes;

iv)         Sanction individuals & companies complicit in illegal Israeli settlements.
