Stop Apex Industrial Rezoning on Jordan Lake (22CZ26)

Stop Apex Industrial Rezoning on Jordan Lake (22CZ26)

The Issue

A developer has submitted plans to develop large (240+ acres) industrial manufacturing and trucking facilities in the areas surrounding the intersection of US-64 and NC-751. If approved by the Town of Apex, this would allow the developer to build 16 industrial manufacturing and trucking buildings in your backyard.

Industrial and trucking facilities are an inappropriate use for this area, and will cause significant harm to nearby residents, the environment, and the community as a whole. If this development is approved it will worsen traffic issues, cause noise and light pollution, threaten sensitive environmental areas, water and wildlife habitats, and destroy the natural beauty of this area and Jordan Lake.

Let the Town of Apex know that you oppose this irresponsible development.

The more people that attend these meetings to share their concerns, the better. Even if you prefer not to speak at the meeting, your presence there will matter. Exact dated have not been set yet, but based on current schedules, the Planning Board meeting will likely occur in early January, and a Town Council meeting will be in the second half of January. We will update here when a date is posted.
