My mother is a veterinarian, and I’ve always loved animals. My dog is also from a shelter, and we rescued him. Unfortunately, many local shelters in Massachusetts are facing severe overcrowding issues. This not only puts immense stress on the animals but also on the staff who work tirelessly to care for them.

According to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA), over 20,000 animals enter shelters across the state each year. Many of these shelters operate at or above capacity, leading to inadequate living conditions and limited resources for proper care.
