There are so many pledges and petitions I would like to start, so I'll begin with this one. I completely loathe the idea of cloning animals for many reasons, pet overpopulation being one, and also for the fact that it's completely unecessary, selfish and downright silly.

  I understand that some people agree with cloning, especially if one lost a pet and he or she finds it convenient or justifiable to clone their dead dog, cat, or other animal in hopes of filling that void of sadness. Honestly, it's a very selfish and morbid way of thinking. 

  Since my childhood many pets have come and gone in my life, so I would not want to disgrace their memory, pure and simple, so cloning any animal for any reason whether it be for research of for a family pet is wrong. God intended for babies to be born, not grown in a lab, so I hope that there are others out there who feel the same way and will pledge to not support animal cloning and to find a way to stop it indefinitely.
